BIOGRAPHY OF THE (EXECUTIVE) DIRECTOR
Dr. Kisia Coleman says, “I love ministry! I love what ministry does to and for people. The services, the messages, the worship, the fellowship, and most of all, THE IMPACT! And I just want to play a part in making that impact happen!”
In 2003, Dr. Kisia received her Master’s in Ministry from Midwest Christian College & Seminary. She later became a teacher in the college, where her focus was in Leadership Training. In 2011 she was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from the Institute for Christian Works Bible College and Seminary, an accredited institution by the World Council of Postsecondary and Religious Education. She is a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel and is recognized as such under the authority of several international and national ministry associations.
Dr. Kisia has served executives and CEOs as a Personal Assistant in various fields, healthcare, legal, financial, and religious arenas, including two mega-churches. She has found that her greatest joy is serving in ministry to help better the lives of others. In January of 2006, working alongside her husband, Dr. John, she helped to pioneer Kingdom Church International Ministries, affectionately known as KCI by its members. As founders of this non-denominational, multicultural community of believers, their mission is to: “Empower God’s people for Kingdom living and advancement in the earth.” In May 2014 they acquired their first property in the inner city of Chicago making their presence evident in both the city and the south suburbs where they started.
Dr. Kisia’s responsibilities include: Executive Administrator, Special Events Director, and the founder of M.O.D.E.L. (Mentoring Our Daughters & Equipping Ladies), a ministry for women; The Princess Paradigm, a mentoring ministry for girls; and L.E.A.D. (Leaders Empowered to Accelerate & Dominate), a leadership training class for kingdom leaders. In February of 2000, Dr. Kisia began a Women’s Prayer Ministry (P.O.W. W.O.W. – Pray on Woman, Woman of Wisdom), which is a one-hour, daily intercessory phone conference. Their motto is, “Every day we pray!” Since its inception, intercessors have been gathering together every day at 5 a.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. weekends to bombard the heavens with intercession.
She is an entrepreneur and the owner of KishKnows, Inc. – The Bright Idea Company which has several divisions including print publishing, software and app development and coaching services. She is the author of The DO IT Mandate - Defeating the Delays to Destiny book and accompanying workbook; as well as The Do It Book Writing & Publishing Series with online courses, and Prayers That Get Results – The DOERS Guide to Turning Tragedy into Triumph and Overcoming the Failures in Life! Volume 1. These inspiring messages of empowerment provide encouragement as well as the necessary tools for all those that want to realize success in life and be doers of the Word and not just hearers only.
Some of her other accomplishments include: Certified Life & Leadership Coach, Creator and Developer of The Do It Master Motivational & Task Mobile App for the iPhone and Google platforms; and graduate of Kingdom University (Dr. Cindy Trimm). In both October 2012 and October 2013, she was the proud recipient of the Literary Award given by the Association of Independent Ministries (A.I.M.).
In 2020, Dr. Kisia’s efforts were instrumental in securing a contract worth over $9 million for an organization involved in providing supplies to assist the medical industry in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. She has raised tens of thousands of dollars and spearheaded initiatives with global partners that have created opportunities to bring aid to people around the world—including the Philippines, Haiti, Bulgaria, South Africa, Croatia, Peru, the Bahamas, Uganda, Texas, and the Chicagoland area. She is responsible for creating local outreach initiatives including Ready to Excel Back to School Backpack & Supply Giveaway and Bringing Joy to the Community outreach programs.
Dr. Kisia is an innovative visionary and a straight-talking communicator. She is proving that her paradigm of being a Christ-like model to others through serving is what greatness and success are really all about. She and her husband live in a suburb of Chicago and are the parents of five children: two boys and three girls, which include two orphaned nieces and a nephew.
